Fostering Community (Outreach Ministry)

We believe that caring for vulnerable children and families is close to the heart of God. Scripture reminds us that God is a Father to the fatherless and a defender of those in need, and as His people, we’re called to reflect that same care in our community. That’s why we created Fostering Community, an outreach ministry dedicated to supporting local foster, kinship, and adoptive families.
Fostering Community is a growing ministry, and we’re always discovering new ways to serve. Right now, we stay connected through an active Facebook group where families can request practical resources — from clothing and furniture for a new foster placement to mental health resources for children. Our ministry leaders are engaged daily, working hard to meet needs as they arise and offering encouragement along the way.
We’ve also hosted special events for foster, kinship, and adoptive families throughout the year, creating safe, welcoming spaces for fun, connection, and community. In addition, we hold regular Sunday Serve Days, where instead of a traditional service, our church family spends the morning doing hands-on projects for our community. Many of these projects directly support foster care — like packing duffel bags for children entering care, completing home projects for foster families, or organizing drives to meet urgent needs.
While we’re still learning how to serve this incredible community in the best ways possible, our heart is to love well, show up consistently, and be a tangible reminder that no family walks this journey alone.
