Christ the King

Christ the King Sunday reminds us that even “in the meantime”—between Christ’s first coming and His return—we do not live without a King.

Rooted in Jeremiah 23:1–6, this message looks at Israel’s failed kings and God’s promise to raise up a righteous Shepherd-King who would reign with wisdom, justice, and compassion. That promise finds its fulfillment in Jesus.

We explored three truths:

• Christ the King reigns — even now, over creation, history, nations, and our lives.

• Christ the King rescues — gathering the scattered, healing the broken, and freeing us from sin and fear.

• Christ the King is righteous — and He shares His righteousness with us, reshaping us into people who reflect His kingdom.

In a world of confusion, corruption, and instability, this message calls us to trust, surrender, and live faithfully under the rule of the One true King—here, now, and until He comes again.
