Episode 3: Joseph
Joseph's life is a story of dramatic highs and heartbreaking lows. From the pit to the palace, to prison, and finally to a position of power, his journey raises a question many of us have asked: Where is God when life doesn't make sense?
Throughout Joseph's story, one truth echoes again and again: "The Lord was with Joseph." God's presence did not keep Joseph from suffering, but it sustained him through every season. Though Joseph endured betrayal, injustice, and years of waiting, God was faithfully at work, forming him and ultimately bringing redemption from what others intended for evil.
Joseph's story reminds us that we live in a broken world where suffering is real, but evil never has the final word. We may not always understand our pain or see how God will redeem it, yet we can trust that He is present, faithful, and able to bring beauty from ashes.
Ultimately, Joseph points us to Jesus—the greater Joseph. Like Joseph, Jesus was betrayed, rejected, falsely accused, and handed over to death. Yet through the greatest evil ever committed, God accomplished the greatest good the world has ever known. The cross became the means of our salvation, proving once and for all that our God is able to bring life from death and redemption from suffering.
