Sent in the Spirit

The disciples knew that something big was happening: the kingdom of God was coming into the world! But they needed to be careful that their eagerness didn't push them ahead of God's will and timing. They would need something much more than ambition to accomplish the mission Jesus gave them - the Holy Spirit would come and empower them for the work! Today, we long to see God's kingdom come into our communities, but our ambition will leave us high and dry. Jesus asks us to be patient as well, as the Holy Spirit leads and empowers our kingdom work!
