Death to Self

In Mark 8, Peter is very confused about the way of Jesus. He knows Jesus is the Messiah, but he is confused about the mission: a road of suffering and death. In today's text, Jesus reveals that the cross is the only way to the crown, not just for Jesus, but his followers, too.

Will we deny ourselves, pick up our crosses, and follow Him?
