EASTER 2026: Life with God

Apr 5, 2026    Claire Cottrill

On Easter, we celebrate an empty tomb that is an open invitation.

In John 20:1–18, we see that Jesus doesn’t simply rise from the dead; He brings us with Him into the very life of God. From the beginning, humanity was created for relationship—to live with God—but sin led us out of that life and into separation. Throughout Scripture, God made a way for people to access His presence, but never fully return to it.

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus does what no sacrifice ever could: He removes the barrier completely. When He says, “My Father and your Father, my God and your God,” He invites us into His own relationship with God—not just forgiveness, but family.

This message explores what it means to move from merely knowing about God or accessing Him occasionally to truly living life with Him, experiencing His presence, love, peace, and transforming power every day.

Because of Easter, we don’t have to settle for less. We were made for life with God, and now, through Jesus, that life is available to us.
