Jesus Meets Us In Our Sin
On Palm Sunday, the crowds shouted “Hosanna” as Jesus entered Jerusalem, but Jesus knew that road would lead to the cross. In this message, we follow the events of Holy Week in John’s Gospel and see just how far Jesus is willing to go to meet us where we are.
From Judas’ betrayal to Peter’s denial, from Pilate’s cowardice to the crowd’s injustice, every moment reveals the depth of human sin, and instead of avoiding it, Jesus moves toward it. He willingly takes on our failure, our guilt, and our shame.
At the cross, Jesus doesn’t just die with us; he dies for us. He carries our sin, breaks its power, and enters death itself so it will not have the final word.
This is how far Jesus will go to meet us where we are—there is no place so dark, no sin so deep, and no failure so final that he will not go there to save us.
