Episode 2: Blood & Water
In Episode 2 of The Greatest Story: Rescue, we journey through Exodus 12–14 and discover that the Exodus is far more than Israel's rescue from Egypt—it is the Old Testament gospel.
Through the Passover and the crossing of the Red Sea, we see a pattern repeated throughout Scripture: God saves by blood and delivers through water. The blood of the Passover lamb spared Israel from judgment, while the waters of the Red Sea brought them into freedom.
These events ultimately point to Jesus, our true Passover Lamb, whose blood saves us from sin and whose death and resurrection are proclaimed through baptism. God doesn't simply rescue us from something; He rescues us for something—to become His people, to worship Him, and to walk in the freedom He has won for us. The question this story leaves us with is simple: Have we trusted the blood of the Lamb, declared our new life in Christ, and are we living in the freedom He has given us?
