Becoming for the Glory of God
What does it mean to live for the glory of God?
In this final message of our Becoming series, we looked at 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Not just church activities, but the ordinary moments of everyday life: work, school, parenting, competition, conversations, and even the smallest routines.
God’s glory is His goodness made visible. We were created to reflect that goodness, and though sin distorted it, Jesus came to restore us. Through Him and by the Spirit’s power, we are being transformed into His likeness.
Living for God’s glory means living as disciples:
Be with Jesus. Become like Jesus. Do as He did.
It means allowing His character to shape how we work, speak, compete, lead, and love, so that in every setting, God’s goodness is on display.
As you look at your week ahead, ask:
If Jesus were me in that moment, how would He live it?
Because the glory of God is His goodness made visible, and He has chosen to make it visible through us.
